Freelance Writing

I am headed for a new freelance writing course come Monday. I like to do short term or online courses to keep myself abreast of the latest developments when it comes to writing, editing and proofreading. Of course, there is no single course that is considered the God of all courses when it comes to those focus areas so certifications here and there showing that you are putting your efforts into fine-tuning your craft couldn't hurt really. I have done a previous course at Emory for Proofreading and Copy Editing and I enjoyed that so decided to do the Freelance Writing course as well. I am excited to be in a class without actually being in school - cheap thrills of life! I am also excited to make new friends and contacts, as well as meet the instructor Linda Clopton who has 25 years' experience working as a freelance writer. Surely, she must have a wealth of knowledge to share so I am ready for this! Will tell you more as the classes go on.
