Honorable Mention: 29th Annual North American Travel Journalists Association Awards

Dear Ruksana, Congratulations for receiving an Honorable Mention in the 29th Annual North American Travel Journalists Association Awards Competition.

Imagine my surprise when I saw that in the mail this morning! It's always a bit of a personal and professional celebration when the work you do for a living is recognized. 

Submitting your work to such award competitions build your credibility as a writer - it's a great boost for your own pursuits but also shows your colleagues the quality of work your are producing and certainly speaks volumes to your clients and outlets that may want to work with you in the future. I loved reading the work of my colleagues in the same category as well as the other categories in the competition.
